Frequently Asked Questions

General

What is AIO Radar?

AIO Radar is an AI Optimization platform that helps your WordPress site get discovered and recommended by AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. It generates LLMs.txt files, creates AI-optimized summaries, and tracks your visibility in AI responses.

How is this different from traditional SEO?

Traditional SEO optimizes for search engine crawlers and rankings. AIO Radar optimizes for large language models (LLMs) that power AI assistants. While there's overlap, AI systems process and understand content differently, requiring specialized optimization.

Which AI assistants does AIO Radar support?

AIO Radar optimizes for:

- ChatGPT (OpenAI)

- Claude (Anthropic)

- Perplexity

- Google AI (Gemini, AI Overviews)

- Microsoft Copilot

- And other LLM-powered assistants

Do I need coding knowledge?

No. AIO Radar is designed for non-technical users. The WordPress plugin handles everything automatically. Advanced users can use WP-CLI commands and hooks for customization.

Installation

What are the requirements?

- WordPress 6.0 or higher

- PHP 8.0 or higher

- HTTPS enabled (SSL certificate)

- AIO Radar account

Is the plugin free?

The plugin is free to install. Using it needs an AIO Radar plan: Starter, Basic or Pro, billed monthly or yearly. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial, which needs a card. See pricing for what each plan includes.

Can I use AIO Radar on multiple sites?

Yes. Each site needs its own API key. Starter and Basic include 1 site and Pro includes 3; more by arrangement on Pro.

LLMs.txt

What is llms.txt?

llms.txt is a standardized file at your site's root (yoursite.com/llms.txt) that helps AI assistants understand your website. It's like robots.txt for AI - a dedicated file explaining what your site offers.

How do I verify my llms.txt is working?

Visit https://yoursite.com/llms.txt in your browser. You should see the generated content. If you get a 404 error, go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save to flush rewrite rules.

How often should I regenerate llms.txt?

Regenerate when:

- You add significant new content

- You update product/service offerings

- You change pricing or business information

- Monthly as a general practice

Can AI assistants actually read my llms.txt?

Yes. Major AI systems check for llms.txt files, similar to how they use robots.txt. Some access it during training, others during real-time web retrieval. The file provides context that improves how AI represents your site.

Content & Sync

What content gets synced?

By default: published pages and posts. You can configure which post types to include and exclude specific categories or individual pages in settings.

Does AIO Radar store my content?

Yes, a copy of your content is stored in AIO Radar's database to generate summaries and LLMs.txt. Your content is never shared with third parties. See our privacy policy for details.

How do I exclude pages from AIO Radar?

Three ways:

1. By category - Exclude entire categories in settings

2. By meta - Add hide_from_ai post meta

3. By filter - Use the aio_scan_exclude_post filter

Why isn't my new content showing up?

Check:

1. Is the content published (not draft)?

2. Is the post type included in settings?

3. Is auto-sync enabled?

4. Try running a manual scan: AIO Radar → Dashboard → Scan Site

Visibility Testing

How accurate are visibility tests?

Visibility tests query actual AI systems, so results reflect real AI behavior. However, AI responses can vary between queries, so track trends over time rather than individual results.

Why doesn't the AI mention my site?

Common reasons:

- Content not indexed yet (can take weeks)

- Content not distinctive enough

- Competitors have stronger presence

- Query too generic

Improve by: generating LLMs.txt, optimizing content, building authority through external mentions.

What affects AI visibility?

Factors include:

- LLMs.txt presence and quality

- Content clarity and structure

- External mentions and citations

- Business authority and reputation

- Schema markup

- Recent content updates
